Yes, He does!

Through the remarkable efforts of parents who devote their lives to raising a generation of children as their very own—and through the very real “X-factor” of God’s grace—children who once seemed destined for a very difficult life are given hope, stability, and a genuine future.

As the International Director of Caminul Felix Villages, I have the privilege of visiting each of our village locations and helping lead our efforts to establish a new village in Ukraine. These visits are some of the most meaningful parts of my work, because I get to see firsthand the lives that are being changed.

I’m wrote this from a mall in central Bangkok after just visiting our village in Surat Thani, Thailand. The faithful investment of loving moms and dads there creates stability and a hopeful foundation for the children who live and thrive in that community. It has been a real privilege to watch many of these kids grow up over the years and see their lives transformed.

Most of the children who come to us arrive from very difficult circumstances—some have lost parents, some have experienced abuse, and others have been abandoned. But through God’s grace and love, we have the opportunity to meet them at a crucial moment in their lives and offer something that cannot be replaced: loving parents, a safe and steady home, and the chance for a new beginning.

This is what happens every single day in a Caminul Felix family village.

Our work in Romania has now surpassed 30 years, and next year we will celebrate 20 years of ministry in Thailand. At this very moment we are also establishing a new village in the western oblast of Ternopil, Ukraine. The model works. Literally over a thousand children have stepped into a completely new reality because of what happens day after day in these villages. If it weren’t actually happening, it might almost sound too good to be true—but it is very real.

So yes—Jesus saves, bro.

And He often does it through remarkably ordinary but deeply faithful moms and dads who open their hearts to children in need.
