He stayed for six weeks and helped on the farm. During that time he met Marcel Filip and told him that I was a dairy farmer. I was contacted by Marcel about some help he needed with the management of the farm. Both my wife Joy and I felt lead to visit Caminul Felix. Our problem was that we did not have the finances to make such a trip. God laid it on my heart that I should raise funds for the trip by collecting scrap metal. God abundantly supplied junk for me to recycle and we had more than we needed to make the trip, and help the farm with some of it's needs. I returned later in the year to travel to Denmark to purchase bred heifers for the farm.

Being a farmer, I am uniquely gifted to accomplish this task. I have trucks and trailers to haul the scrap metal. I have skidcat to lift heavy items such as old farm machinery or a junk car. I have room on the farm to store the junk until it can be sorted and hauled. I have many tools to disassemble items to get the greatest value for the metal. Metals like copper, brass and aluminum are valued much higher than steel and I sort those separately, to get the most for God's kingdom. I use my evenings after work, or stop by a donors house when I make trips to town. I estimate I average about 6-8 hours a week collecting, sorting, and hauling junk for God's work. I really enjoy recycling the junk. It takes something that people called worthless, gets it out of the environment, and turns it into something useful for God's work.

I continued to collect and recycle junk to help Caminul Felix and other ministries. In late 2010, I felt lead by God to help build a house for orphans in Thailand. We love the model where the children have two loving parents committed to raising them as a family. I have partnered with many people in my church, who give me junk to recycle, to raise enough to build a least a 1/3 of a house in 2011. My personal call by God is "to help the least of these". God has given me great opportunity to raise funds to help orphaned children around the world, first in Romania, also in Haiti and now in Thailand. I only have to be obedient to His calling to recycle junk to accomplish this.

Mark Yeazel text/html 2011-12-16T10:38:38+01:00 http://www.caminulfelix.ro Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ! http://www.caminulfelix.ro/index.php?hl=en&sm=2&id=56 From the children, parents and leaders in Felix Family Village text/html 2011-10-10T09:29:38+01:00 http://www.caminulfelix.ro House number 7 http://www.caminulfelix.ro/index.php?hl=en&sm=2&id=55 Saturday the 24th of September was the day when we started to build on house number 7 in the Felix Family Village. It was great to meet the families and see how well children and parents work together. The children are confident and happy, and the parents tell with pride about their children's progress in school. Now, they have returned to Sweden and are filled with so much gratitude for their Thai experience.
”The joy to give was so valuable. It was worth all of the sweat in Thailand,” says Christer and Charlotte Nordh.
In the Felix Village lives children who were orphaned but which now have their own families - a mother, a dad and up to a dozen siblings. Very little English was spoken in the Felix Village. This circumstance has changed, however, due to the love a the Nordh Family. Christer and Charlotte were strongly affected when they first heard of the work of the Felix Village. Then when they heard about the need for volunteer help to teach simple English, they made a quick decision to go there. In February, the couple along with their daughter Theresa, 5, and son, Jacob, 6, left for the eastern county of Thailand. For the next three months they were busy teaching the village parents - and children - basic English.
“It's so fun to see how they were continually improving,” says the Swedish couple. As an extra bonus when they came to Thailand it was the summer vacation in the country. It gave the possibility for Theresa and Jacob to have much play time with the village children.
“God so very much cares for us,” says Charlotte.

The magazine Världen idag was in place when the Felix FamilyVillage was opened just a year ago. The magazine readers’ hearts were so touched that they even paid for one of the five houses in the village. The parents, Dos and Nez Suksit, who live in the house with five orphan children, have now participated in the Nord's English lessons. “They were consistent participants of these lessons,” says Christer.
The Nordh’s followed the Suksit Family up close and says that almost every weekend they would leave the village in Surat Thani to travel a little north to participate in the work of "Tha Chana Church". One Sunday the Nordh Family had the privilege to visit the church where Dad Dod preached the message about the Christians’ everyday life. Theresa and Jacob participated in the Sunday School led by Mother Nez. The Nordhs are very happy for their Thailand adventure as it was done entirely on their own initiative and expense. "We have laughed a lot, and we have received such warm contact with everyone in the village despite the confusion of tongues.” The villagers who once were so dependent upon an interepreter can now express themselves, thanks to the Nordh’s, much better to foreign visitors.
The Nordh Family says they are now waiting for the slightly cooler Swedish spring.

The party began on Thursday when the houseparents with children met the Swedish team and other close friends to the Minsitry. Greetings were shared by Berndt Sanfridson, Lars Hornberg, Lisa Egerbo and Jarl Josefsson. We were singing, praying and eating, pizza and had a great time together. It was a joy to see the children running around and playing in their new environment.

On Friday evening we met for dinner. Children, families and other invited guests. Among the speakers this evening, we had the pleasure of listening to the President ot the Caminul Felix International Board in Romania, Mr Bob Paget from the U.S. He provided a computer to the team in Surat Thani

Then came the day we all waited for! The inauguration of Felix Family Village. The sun disappeared and a heavy rains broke out just when the program would begin. With great efficiency re-arranged our Thai friends that needed to be done practically to conduct ribbon-cutting and speeches. After the local mayor cut the ribbon into the village, he was met by the children who stood and waited and waved with the flags of: Thailand, Romania, USA, UK, Australia, Norway and Sweden. What a celebration it was! Then we went from house to house and cut the ribbons. Gratitude was great to the donors of the houses and it was shown by the signs that was set up outside each house with the donors name, fam..Jim Sankey, USA, which donated two houses, Margareta and Jarl Josefsson and the magazine Världen Idag that paid for two other houses.

On Sunday morning, preached Lars Hornberg in one of the local assemblies in Surat Thani. There were also representatives from Sweden, Görgen Hellman, Göte,Sennerstam, Mats-Peter Runegrund, Maggan and Jars Josefsson, Siw and Bengt Winroth, Eva from Vetlanda, Per Edler, Swedish Lutheran priest in Phuket and Lisa Egerbo. We thank God for a couple of wonderful fine days. We look forward to finish building the village and get ready to welcome 100 children to their new families.

House number five will be built by the secondhand -shop Open Hand in Nyköping and is scheduled to be completed during 2010. Are you there as a private person organization, company, or assembly, which would like to build a hous? Please contact us!

There is also needs of help with the interior of houses that we just opened and if you can make a contribution to it, we are grateful. We need to buy more furnitures, beds and cupboards.

We also want to encourage you to become a sponsor for one of our children. text/html 2009-05-15T08:40:29+01:00 http://www.caminulfelix.ro Sunday-morning http://www.caminulfelix.ro/index.php?hl=en&sm=2&id=19 Text: On Sunday morning we met to worship in one of the local assemblies in Surat Thani.
