My name is Timea, I have been living at Caminul Felix since I was six years old. I was born in a disorganized family, with many familial problems. I was living with my mother and her family. My father was always in jail. When I was five years old, my mother committed suicide for reasons unknown, and six months after her death, my grandmother died because she was ill. I was left with my grandfather, who was working all day long, so I was staying inside the house all day, by myself. One of our neighbors saw that it wasn’t right for me to stay home alone all day, so he told grandpa about Caminul Felix.
My grandfather brought me to Caminul Felix, where my life changed completely. I received a new family and parental love, a mother, a father and sixteen siblings. Besides the family and love that I found, I also met God here. While growing older, I realized that one cannot live this life without God, so I accepted Him in my life when I was twelve years old and got baptized at fifteen.
Later there came a difficult period in my life, when I had many personal problems and health problems and I didn’t know how to handle them, so the only way out I knew and upon which my thoughts were feeding during nighttime, was suicide. I was thinking about my mother and at the fact that she had committed suicide. But God was constantly reminding me that I am precious in His sight, that He loves me and that I have a new future. Thank God I didn’t take that wrong step.
After I finished high school, I wanted to study journalism or music at the University in our city, but God opened a different road for me, so now I study Journalism at the Eastern European Bible College in Oradea, 3rd year. I chose this Bible College so that I can grow my relationship with Christ and to learn Media in a Christian environment. But God blessed my life even more when I met Răzvan at the College, a boy studying theology, who is now my fiancé. With God’s help we will get married on May 29th 2010. After I finish College I would like to work as a graphic designer.
I am thankful to God for changing my life, for giving me a new future and for taking care of me through my Felix family.
