My name is Sirirat Pantasanya and I am one of the house parents in Felix Family Village, Surat Thani , Thailand, My dad is a pastor and I have learnt about Jesus since I was a little child. I got married 18 years ago and I have 2 children. My husband used to be a pastor and we worked together in a church before moving to Felix Family Village.
Not so long after we got married my husband wanted to adopt some children because he by himself was an orphan child. We got our own two children and I thought that I could not love any children in the same way as my own. We have established the church and worked there four years.
Once day after I prepared a sermon, I heard some children shout and they cried for help. I got up and prayed to God. In that moment I really knew that He wants me to help His children. Two weeks later, we got an 8 years old child who has been beaten by his adopt father. We could not help him because there where no space in a house. And then, not too long someone came to us with a little child. He would like to give him to us but we need to reject a child again, one week later we heard that he died in an accident because of no one took care of him. The car hit him when he cross the road.
Those things made me have to promise to God, that I want to be His tool to bring up His children. Last year we commit ourselves to serve the Lord in Felix Family because we know exactly that this is the real life. Children need to have a family, mom and dad to take care of them even if we are their foster parent. We surely know that this is the calling from God.
Please pray for us, we would like to do anything that we can make them confident, free, more comfortable and become a good people of God that He can use them in the Kingdom of God in the future.
