My name is Albert Deak, I am 22 and I lived at Caminul Felix for 11 years. I would like to share with you about my life here. First I want to tell you, at Caminul Felix I have heard about God and I have been taken to church for the first time in my life. In Caminul Felix I have learned many things about God. Together with my parents from Caminul Felix I started to attend a church and came to accept God as my life’s master. From the first months since I came, Caminul Felix looked to me as the Promised Land. The Promised Land is the place where God has taken the Israeli people from the slavery in Egypt. To me, Caminul Felix is the finest place where an orphan can be, where he can get a family, a father and a mother to care for him and give him good manners. I tell you that besides knowing God, from my parents I got good guidance and I become more aware of the world around me, and here in Caminul Felix I started to dream of the possibility to have a future and get rid of the “orphan” label.
Now, after 11 years in Caminul Felix I am tin the second year in college, studying Wood Engineering and I want to tell you: Caminul Felix is the finest place; more of the Romania’s orphans should be cared for here and may be a pattern for other countries, too. After all I told you, I conclude: at Caminul Felix I am part of a normal life in a normal family like any other child from a normal family.
